Unlocking the Light Infantry Archive: 1968 – 2007

Call for oral history participants!

Bodmin Keep is working on an oral history project to capture testimonials and experiences from Light Infantry veterans about deployments to Northern Ireland between 1969-1998.

We are seeking veterans who are willing to share their stories and experiences with us, to provide first-hand perspectives of what life during that period was like for them.

We are also hoping to interview wives and family members who lived in Northern Ireland during this period, to help us understand the impact on the families of Light Infantry soldiers.

The interviews will be added to the archive for use in future research and, if consent is given, as part of a new exhibition on Northern Ireland.

You will have the right to withdraw from the project at any time, and there is also the option to participate anonymously.

Help us bring the stories to life

In addition, we are seeking veterans who would like to volunteer their time to conduct these interviews. Training and support will be provided by museum staff and Plymouth University.

If you are interested in taking part, either as an interviewee or interviewer, please contact us by email at info@bodminkeep.org.uk or call 01208 72810 for further information.
