Crowdfunder Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

The Prize

Enter our prize draw to win an awesome test drive of a Ferret Mark II Scout Car at Davidstow in Cornwall on a former Second World War airfield.

Before you test drive, you’ll receive a 30-minute lesson with an expert instructor by your side. After you’ve learned the basics, you will have up to one hour of hands-on driving time.

The winner will also receive a FREE family pass for two adults and up to three children to the Cornwall at War military collection at Davidstow airfield.

  1. By entering this prize draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. The promoter is Cornwall’s Regimental Museum, a charitable incorporated organisation registered in England & Wales (charity registration number 1174375) with a registered office at Bodmin Keep, Bodmin PL31 1EG. Cornwall’s Regimental Museum CIO is known as Bodmin Keep-Cornwall’s Army Museum.
  3. All funds raised from the prize draw will be donated to Cornwall’s Regimental Museum CIO.
  4. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and there is no cash alternative.

Entry Requirements & Entry Period

  1. The prize draw is open to those aged 18 or over on 19 May 2025, excluding employees of Cornwall’s Regimental Museum CIO, their families, volunteers and Trustees of the museum.
  2. The prize draw period begins on Monday 19 May 2025 and closes on Monday 30 June 2025 at 00:00 GMT. Any entries received after the entry period will not be accepted.
  3. Paid entry to the prize draw is available via Crowdfunder only.
  4. There is an option to enter the prize draw free (see clause 11) for the cost of a standard postage stamp.
  5. Cornwall’s Regimental Museum CIO is not responsible for any delays in postal delivery.

The Prize

  1. The prize draw is for one driving experience in a Ferret Mark II Scout Car to include 30 minutes driving instruction and up to an hour driving time at Davidstow airfield; and FREE entry to the Cornwall at War Museum for a group of two adults and three children. Coveralls and helmet will be provided for the experience.

Prize Terms and Conditions

a. The participant must be 18 years old or over on 19 May 2025 and hold a current UK driving licence.

b. The participant must be a minimum height of 4 ft 0 ins and maximum height 6ft 4 ins, weigh no more than 22 stones and should be in reasonable health and able to climb in and out of the vehicle. The driving experience will take place ‘off road’ and therefore is not suitable for those who have epilepsy, heart complaints or are pregnant.

c. A good command of the English language is required to ensure that operating instructions are fully understood.

d. Spectators are welcome but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.

e. Dogs will be allowed on site, if they are on a lead.

f. Anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate

Availability

g. The date and time of the experience will be mutually agreed. Please book a minimum of 4 weeks in advance of your preferred date.

h. Severe weather may cause the event to be delayed or postponed.

Postal Entry

  1. Postal entrants may enter the promotion free of charge by sending an entry within an envelope with details their full name and a contact telephone number (including area code if providing a landline number) to the following postal address:

Entries received other than in an envelope will not be accepted.

a. Only one postal entry is permitted per person.

b. Entries sent by post:

i. must be received at the relevant postal address specified for entries by the close of the Entry Period
ii. entries which have not been given the correct and sufficient payment for postage will be invalid and will not be considered.

c. Personal and hand-delivered entries will not be accepted.

General

  1. This prize draw and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the courts of Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.
  2. The winner will be selected on Tuesday 1 July from the list of entrants using a random number generator. You can make multiple entries to the prize draw.
  3. By entering this prize draw, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.
  4. Entrants may be required to participate in publicity without further consent or payment, such publicity including without limitation the entrant’s name, entry or any information provided by the entrant, including photographs and videos. This information may be used by Cornwall’s Regimental Museum CIO in any and all media, including but not limited to Cornwall’s Regimental Museum CIO social media platforms, in perpetuity.
  5. Any personal information collected by Cornwall’s Regimental Museum CIO in connection with a prize draw will be used in accordance with Cornwall’s Regimental Museum CIO Privacy Policy.
